Large bronze coin is set in a chunky rose gold bezel enhanced by 4 champagne diamonds. It hangs from a handmade, large link chain. The whole necklace measures 17”. Chain and pendant have a hammered finish.

The coin depicts the Empress Crispina. She was very beautiful and quite infamous. She came from an affluent political family. She was also said to be vain and haughty. After being implicated in a senatorial plot to overthrow her husband she was ultimately accused of adultery and treason and exiled to the Island of Capri. She did, however, receive the title of Augusta. This was a title of Imperial Dignity bestowed upon empresses and relatives of emperors.

The coin is approximately the size of a quarter and bears the name of the empress and her title. It is a stunning piece!
