This 18mm bronze coin is set in 18k yellow gold with 4 cognac diamonds and hangs from a 16” 18k yellow gold chain. The coin is approximately the size of a penny.
This coin depicts a bee. The bee was created as the symbol of Ephesus by the emperor at the time and remained so for hundreds of years before the birth of Christ. The Temple of Artemis, an ancient wonder of the world, is in Ephesus and in 53AD Paul arrived and started writing his letters to the Ephesians.
Bees have an ancient reputation as the bringers of order and femininity. Honey was the nectar of the Gods.
