Istros Twins
Greece 390 BC
18mm silver coin hand set in 14k white gold with 4 white diamonds. Ancient Greek interpretation of this coin varies. While one source may say they are twins from the same maternal origin, another may say that they are opposites, one face representing the Sun and the other the Moon.
It should be noted that at the time this coin was being hand struck in Greece, the Egyptian Astrological Society was naming the signs of the Zodiac. Soon thereafter, the Twins were representation of the Zodiac sign of Gemini.
