Roman Bust Ring

This is a substancial ring. 14k yellow gold supports a bronze coin that is about the size of a nickle. The ring has flower embellishments on either side and a white diamond is set in the center of the flowers. It has a soft hammered finish.

The square bottom is designed to reduce "rolling".

The coin depicts the bust of Roman soldier Tarkondimotos. He is facing to the right. Tarkondimotos was very active and honored for many years in the Roman military. Pompey made him dynast and Marc Antony crowned him king of his territory which is presend day Southwestern Turkey. He died in the Battle of Actium. Actium was where Octavian (Augustus Caesar) defeated Cleopatra and Marc Antony.
