Bee Of Ephesus Dangle Earrings
Ancient bronze coins from Ephesus 375BC are set in oxidized silver and surrounded by a bezel of white diamonds. The pendants hang from handmade hoops of oxidized silver, white diamonds and a 22k yellow gold flower embellishment. 1.04 total carat weight. The dangle pendants are approximately the size of a US dime.
The coins depict bees. Bees were chosen as the symbol of Ephesus and remained so for several hundreds of years. Bees have an ancient reputation of femininity, the bringers of order and the regeneration of life. Honey was the nectar of the gods.
