This small, ancient, silver coin is set in 18k yellow gold and balanced on either side by 2 white diamonds, 0.12ctw. The coin is very small, approximately half the size of a US dime. The ring is a size 4.5 and perfect for a small hand or worn as a pinkie ring.
The coin depicts the forepart of a horse prancing to the right. In ancient Greece, horses represented wealth and status as well as being an integral part to a thriving economy and an essential part of warfare. The horse’s long affiliation with gods and heroes in Greek mythology fostered a special respect and admiration.
