The coin depicts a large "M", three crosses, "B" below and NIKM.
M is the coin's value, the crosses are the Trinity, B is the workroom and NIKM is the mint where the coin was struck. These denominationally marked bronzes were the standard of the Byzantine world for nearly three centuries.
