Rose Gold Cross Coin Necklace
Byzantine Empire 379 AD
This small, ancient, bronze coin is set in 18k rose gold and is adorned with a white diamond bezel, 0.44ctw. The pendant is attached to a handmade, 18k rose gold chain.
On the coin there is a cross within a wreath. Early Christian crosses were hand struck during the reign of Theodosius the Great. He was the emperor responsible for making Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. Although he never became a Christian, there is a saint named after him.
